ArchivioUniFor is the heritage collection of UniFor, one of the most important companies working in the fields of workspace design and office furniture.
The company is internationally known for its past and present collaborations with some of the world’s most renowned architects, including Aldo Rossi, David Chipperfield, Renzo Piano, Norman Foster, Álvaro Siza, Jean Nouvel, Angelo Mangiarotti, OMA, Herzog & de Meuron and many others.
The heritage collection—officially launched in 2021 on the occasion of the Milano Design Week—is dedicated precisely to the re-edition of historical furniture pieces that were designed by prominent architects with whom the company collaborated in the past.
The first series has been dedicated to five pieces by the Italian architect Aldo Rossi (1931–1997) and presented in the historical showroom of UniFor in Milan’s city centre, a space that was also a design of renowned architects with whom the company once collaborated—Afra Bianchin (1937–2011) and Tobia Scarpa (1935).
The logotype of ArchivioUniFor has been composed in the same typeface selected to identify the company, prepared in two variations for larger and smaller sizes, and entirely set in uppercase letters, without any space between the words.
In this way, the two words became one and generated a unique name that is visually compact and graphically consistent with the corporate identity of UniFor, thus producing a result that is perfectly integrated in the visual vocabulary of the company’s communication.
